Where the desert meets the sea.

A private cove on the Arabian Gulf. One hundred and twenty keys, a row of overwater villas and a beach that is yours alone until sunrise.

The resort

Shaped by the tide, sheltered by the dunes.

Mirage Bay sits on a sheltered cove of the Al Marjan coast, seventy-five minutes from Dubai International and a world away from it. One hundred and twenty keys are spread between lagoon rooms, beach villas and a row of overwater villas that catch the first light. Everything here — the hammam, the shisha lounge, the ballroom built like a majlis — was designed for how the Gulf actually lives: late dinners, long evenings, family at the centre.

We took the whole family for Eid. The kids vanished into the club, the grandparents into the hammam, and we finally had a sunset to ourselves.
